Assignment: Understanding SCRUM Board Operations with JIRA

Objective: The objective of this assignment is to familiarize yourself with the basic operations performed using JIRA SCRUM boards. You will work with sample data to perform tasks such as finding issues, searching for issues using JQL, linking tasks and attachments, adding story points and labels, setting priority, and generating filters based on JQL queries.

Instructions:

1. Setup:

   • Access the provided JIRA instance (or use your own if applicable).
   • Navigate to the SCRUM board named "Sample SCRUM Board".

2. Task 1: Find Issues

   • Identify and list all issues currently assigned to you on the SCRUM board.

3. Task 2: Searching for Issues

   • Use JIRA Query Language (JQL) to find all issues in the "To Do" status that are labeled with "Bug".

4. Task 3: Linking Tasks and Attachments

   • Choose any two issues from the board.
   • Link these issues using the "Relates to" relationship.
   • Attach a sample document (e.g., PDF file) to one of the issues.

5. Task 4: Adding Story Points and Labels

   • Assign story points to an issue of your choice.
   • Add labels "Enhancement" and "Urgent" to another issue.

6. Task 5: Adding Time Tracking

   • Track time spent on any issue from start to finish.
   • Log at least 2 hours of work on this issue.

7. Task 6: Setting Priority

   • Change the priority of an issue from "Medium" to "High".

8. Task 7: Generating Filters Based on Different JQL

• Create and save two filters based on the following criteria:
• Filter 1: Issues assigned to you with status "In Progress".
• Filter 2: Issues labeled with "Critical" and "High Priority".

9. Task 8: Find Issues for Current Sprint

   • Use JIRA Query Language (JQL) to find all issues that are currently assigned to the current sprint.

10. Task 9: Find Issues with Unreleased Versions

• Find all issues that are associated with unreleased versions of the product.

13. Task 11: Create a New Version

    • Create a new version named "Version 5.0" in the project.

14. Task 12: Associate Story with New Version

    • Choose a user story (e.g., SSP-5) and associate it with the newly created "Version 5.0".

15. Task 13: Create Filter for New Version

    • Create a JIRA Query Language (JQL) filter to find all issues that are associated with "Version 5.0".

16. Task 14: Find all the closed task in the sprint

    • Create a JIRA Query Language (JQL) filter to find all issues that are closed in the sprint.
